Jae's Mind

Monday, January 22, 2007

Wow, its been a month since I last blogged. I never want to blog when I have nothing to write because I don't want to bore anyone, and when I have stuff thats on my mind that I want to express, I can't seem to put it into words. Either I can't put it into words, or I SHOULDN'T put it into words.
So my new job is going pretty good. This is the start of the third week and I think that we're almost used to eachother now. The older one and I have similar attitudes, so sometimes we butt heads, but for the most part we like to play together. I love listening to the younger one talk, it's so cute. Today the younger one and I went to a gas station to get me some very needed coffee, and the lady at the cash register kept telling me how cute he was. I told her thank you, but I couldn't take credit for it, I'm only the nanny.
So I have to say, I really love going to LDN. Those of you who don't know what LDN is, its a Leadership Developmen Network. What we do is go somewhere for a night, usually a cabin, and we have three sessions. The sessions consist of three different areas in our ministry. Hands, Heart and Head. Hands teaches you how to be more effective in our ministry, Heart is your personal growth and mental health, and Head is Bible knowledge. It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but its worth it!! I LOVE the people I do LDN with, they are just so awesome!! I really great community builder!
So I've been trying to learn how to skate this winter, and I went yesterday which was my 4th time this winter, and it felt like I had never been skating ever. I'm not sure why. My skates recently got sharpened so it can't be that, so I was wondering if any winterized manitobans had any insight for me.
So I'm pretty sure I'm going to be more on the ball with this whole blogging thing....hopfully!

Hey Jae! I missed your blogs, glad your back, and glad the new job is going well! Well, as a former figure skater, I'm hoping my advice might help, but it might not too! Sometimes there isn't a lot of ankle support in skates, so maybe you are needing some with a little more support?? I know thats what I needed, my skates had a lot of padding around the ankles so that it wouldn't feel so "weak" and like I had never skated before!!!
