Jae's Mind

So I was feeling really depressed yesterday because I was feeling like I wasn't a very good nanny, and I was going to blog about it, but I knew that it would only make me think about it more and feel worse. Today I am having a better day! My boss (the boy's mom) told me that the other nanny had trouble the first month she started so I felt better. I also got more ideas of where I could take the boys from my boss and from my wonderful blog readers!!
So, I was going to make plans today to do NOTHING (I'm sick), but the I realized that every time I walk into my apartment I want to vomit because the mess is so horrifying. It sucks because I'm a good cleaner.....when I get paid for it. I find it so hard to motivate myself and to find energy to clean when I know that its only me and Ryan....and Tim that are going to see it, but I also get depressed when its so messy.

Question of the day: What are some things I could do to motivate myself, or my husband, to clean? OR What are some ways I can KEEP my place clean?

I feel like such a lazy person to ask those questions. Oh well, at least I can admit it! I need some insight fast because Justin and Nicole are coming over to tacos next week....if the baby hasn't come yet.

we do 15 minute cleanups with all of us. you would be surprised what you can get done. esp. if you do it while tim is around (he contributes to the mess, i bet, from time to time.)

Over the door hooks are great for keeping clothes off the floor. That's my advice. Also, big ol' Rubbermaid containers are always useful for organizing and keeping things tidy.

Michele's idea of 15 minutes is good. We have those too only, I'm usually the only one home when that happens. We also did Happy Housecleaning Hours where we all cleaned for an hour. That worked well. Now I do the HHH all by myself. Sigh.

When your current employer asked me if I would hire you as a nanny to my children, I said, "Absolutely." Only problem is, my kids are currently too old to have a nanny. Otherwise, I would have hired you.
